In November 2007, the National Cartoonists Society

announced that, by unanimous vote of the board, they have

chosen Sandra Boynton to receive the Milton Caniff Lifetime

Achievement Award. The award will be presented to her at the

annual NCS convention in May, 2008. Boynton’s mother,

Jeanne, reports that her housekeeper astutely surmised:

“They must have run out of people to give it to.”
